Ankle Pain and Plantar Fasciitis

Ankle pain, including the more commonly known plantar fasciitis, can be treated with a laser.

This image is a combination of the three fascial lines I discuss most on this site:

  • Superficial Back Line
  • Deep Front Line
  • Lateral Line

By looking at both feet, notice how many tendons run from the lower leg into the foot and ankle. In fact, all the muscles in your lower leg are primarily foot muscles. The strong foot and ankle muscles are all in your lower leg.

To treat any ankle or foot problem, the lower leg must be considered, in my opinion, because it is always involved.

It is also very important to know what normal motion is and what is not. There are many bones in the foot and ankle, and each one has a distinct feel when put through different motions. It is very easy to treat the area where the person is having pain, but often other parts of the foot, ankle, and lower leg also need normal motion restored with the laser.

I don’t want to limit this page to just ankle pain and plantar fasciitis. Many pains in the foot, heel, ankle, and lower leg could be treated with laser therapy as long as the pain is due to dysfunctional and stuck tissue, which I usually find quite easily.
